Hi Tom

I hope you enjoyed the event - level of interest in widgets is very encouraging.

Innovation only really beginning to happen - and it will be fun to watch. For example, SAP are doing some cool stuff on widgets [which i forgot to mention]

Check out www.ventureblog.com for widget economy post

Hi Tom, indeed!

I was chatting to some of our more technical guys in the office today and they are using all sorts of widgets as short cuts to info, train times, and weather seem popular. On widsets there are many issues with websites not having RSS feeds set up properly, this highlights a fundamental issue that widgets will only be as good as the products and applications they interact with.

The debate will rumble on i am sure.

Guys, good event, thanks for making it work, i know they are not easy to deliver.

Also good to see some ad agencies at the gig, they are most welcome.

As a publisher charged with delivering mobile to the masses i think the interaction of these events is crucial to establish which side is up.

As for the definition of a widget, err not sure what the definition of a Dyson is yet?.. but i have two, they work and i am a happy chappy.

Isn't a widget simply the 'red button' from sky but with greater potential? It offers consumers something more, you can interact with it and it is after all digital!

Just a thought, keep up the good work.
